Today’s post is a tribute to my wife and a discussion about the importance of having people around you who support your goals. Thankfully, my biggest supporter is my wife which has made my transition from employee to entrepreneur much easier that it would have been otherwise.
She has been there to encourage me when my morale was down. She’s been there to offer advice when I didn’t know what to do next. And she was always there whenever I made mistakes and blunders to remind me that I was still on the right track. How awesome is that?
Who is supporting you? Perhaps you have some supporters in your life that you are not showing enough appreciation for? I know my work schedule has sometimes impacted how much time I spend with my wife and I am making efforts to ensure we invest time together… it is WAY too important not to.
Here is my video about our 6 year anniversary which happens to be today!
Great video man. I know this was definitely stepping out of your comfort zone. But that’s what helps us grow! Congrats on the 6 years, and send my well wishes to Jesser! I hope you guys have a great night tonight.
6 years ago…damn the open bar memories feel like yesterday.

HAHA. And you took full advantage of said bar if I remember correctly π
I can neither confirm nor deny the above slanderous statement.
…But yes.

Awwww…sooooo sweet!!!! Such a great video Justin! It’s VERY apparent how supportive Jess is to everyone around you guys too, so nothing you said in the video was very surprising!! You two work so well together!!! Love you guys and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!
Totes McGoats. Thanks! We’re going to have some good down time tonight!
Congratulations on your anniversary! And you are right about how helpful it is to have support from love ones and from friends. I am trying to start an enterprise myself and it hasn’t been easy. I read a quote somewhere that kind of sum it up how challenging starting an enterprise is, “Success is easy, but failure is even easier.”
Sometimes my self doubt starts attacking my mind but because of the support of my wife and friends I get through the low points of the week. Listening to J Rohn’s audio helped a lot also.
Thanks Robert. I love that line about failure being even easier. LOL. It is so true. Failing is pretty damn easy to do. I prefer to call them learning opportunities! Jim Rohn’s material is awesome for keeping your mind on the right track! Glad to hear you also have a very supportive wife.
JPop,
This is the best gift a girl could ask for. Thank you so much for being the sweetest sweetness of all sweetni. You are equally supportive, such a truly fantastic husband, and just a really great person. Also…the best Daddy in the world to our boys:)
Love you,
Jess
Hanks! π
Happy Anniversary to you and your wife, Justin. How time must have just flown by in the last 6 years.
I also think that’s it vitally important to have people support you as it’s so tough to go it all alone. I think it’s very touching of you to acknowledge the morale booster, the sounding board, and your biggest supporter with this video.

Thanks Karen. Time has definitely flown by and it seems to be going faster each year (especially with kids now). I think it is important for all of us to take time out to appreciate all we have each moment.
Justin,
Just stopping by to continue the conversation. You have a great site here. Happy anniversary. It looks like you are on your way to a powerful consulting business.

you are lucky to have such a supportive wife π
Indeed π
You know what they say, “Behind every great man….
Absolutely π

Thanks Mark π
Congratulations on your anniversary!
It’s great you’ve got great support from your wife, it’s tough moving from employment to full time entrepreneur.
Hey Matthew,
Thanks for your comment. I’m a fan of your blog so I was happy to see you stop by!
Hey Justin,
My Wife is my biggest supporter…hands down. Yes, my parents love. Yes, my children and brother and sister love me. But my wife is the piston in the engine. She picks me up when I’m down. She fires me up when I need fired up. She is a very smart, and creative lady, whom I should really listen to more often.
Take care, and tell your wife, we all tell her Thanks for standing by her man. π And also…Happy Anniversary!
Brandon
Thanks Brandon. Sounds like we are both very luck guys to have such supportive wives. Congrats for building such a prosperous relationship.
Hey Justin Congratulations on your Anniversary!
It certainly pays to have a good supporter on your side.
It can make things pretty tough if you are both pulling in different directions.
My challenge is to see if I can persuade my wife to show some interest in what I am trying to achieve.
keep up the great work!

Thanks Stan. I know it can be difficult to get your partner/spouse to see what you are working on and buy into it. Hopefully the more you share, the more she realizes that it is important to you and you are committed to it, the more she will warm up to the idea and support you. Personally, I think its all about sharing your passion over and over until the other person realizes its not a fad, it is really what you want.
