The Entrepreneur’s Romance Bubble

I am an avid blog reader and I am always finding new ideas and new sources of inspiration from all corners of the Net.

I recently read a great post on a blog called “Marc and Angel Hack Like” at http://www.marcandangel.com/ called “How to Make the World a Better Place”.

I talk about the premise of the blog post in my video but I also relate it to my roller coaster journey as an entrepreneur. You may want to check out the story at http://www.marcandangel.com/2010/04/05/how-to-make-the-world-a-better-place/ and then check out my thoughts in the video below.

Can you relate?

  1. I have found that if you try to stay on an even keel, that can be your best defense. I try not to get too high when things are rolling and try not to get too low when the brakes seem to be locked on. It’s not easy and takes a lot of mental toughness but it is possible.

I totally agree with celebrating the little victories, it is essential to re-building momentum. I read that it is impossible to be depressed and grateful at the same time. If you take time to express the gratitude for what you do have and what you’ve accomplished, it can help take the sting out of the things that aren’t going so well.

    • Interesting spin. I have never considered that it is possible to be grateful and depressed at the same time. I think if you are expressing true gratitude in the moment, the depressed feeling would have to disappear. Then again, I know the feeling of being so locked into a negative vibe that it is almost impossible to latch on to the gratitude you know you *should* be feeling.

All part of the entrepreneur’s game I guess ;)

I try to make my job all about the romance. I am a startup guy so I try to develop new products all the time :)

    Great post as usual.

    • Thanks!

I guess that’s part of the mystique of being an entrepreneur is you can always come up with new projects and new ideas. And for someone like you with the ability to implement ideas very quickly, it is hard to ever get bored or pessimistic.

  3. I always get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when I find someone out on the web going the extra mile to evaluate one of my articles.

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
