Now Is The ONLY Time You Have

In my blog post last week I talked about the fact that we are always choosing how we spend our time and focus our energy. Each moment of our lives we have an opportunity to do something and make something happen.

This is a follow up and it is a new video I created originally to get myself motivated. It turned into a pretty big project and I am sharing with you today in hopes that it gives you some added motivation/inspiration for the things you are working on in your life right now:

Great video man – dare I say one of your best?

The point really hits home too, like my goal is to drink more coffee than any human ever has. I will start the quest right now.

Seriously though – this is inspiring, it is a great way to start my morning.

    Hey Justin,

    This is a Great reminder.

I write my monthly and yearly goals in the:
    - I am
    - I have

It is what I am, not what I want to become.

    Cheers,
    Mukul

      Hey Mukul

That’s awesome. I have to admit that I used to do that more often than I have been recently…but it really works. Thanks for the reminder…that is a great goal setting strategy

  6. Steve November 5, 2010 at 11:28 am #

    Exactly!

BTW – nice video itself – what software do you use for video?

    • Justin Popovic November 5, 2010 at 11:34 am #

      Thanks Steve.

Here is how I made the video:

      - wrote the script in text file
      - narrated the words using my mic in garageband
      - added vocal effects and background music in garageband
      - created slideshow in keynote
      - used Screenflow to record the slideshow and did my best to time it with the audio
      - used Screenflow to mix the audio and video together
      - export to MOV :)

Hey Andy. Thanks for the kind words. I agree the first step can be difficult. Whether it is fear, procrastination, laziness or otherwise. Once we take that first step, it is easy to keep the momentum going

I’ve always been a fan of The Slight Edge – and this video lends itself to the same idea of slight disciplines compounded over time to make all the difference in the world!

    GREAT one!

    Have a DYNAMITE day!

I can only agree with all the above comments.

Wow…the real clincher for me was your comment re the hundreds of one-minute opportunities available even if you’ve slept in. A wonderful reminder for someone who gets caught up in an ‘all or nothing’ mentality at times.
    Thank you!
