How To Pull Yourself Out Of A Rut
Posted by Justin Popovic on November 17, 2010 · 12 Comments
In the past week I faced a few challenging days where I was basically in a rut. I could not seem to motivate myself and I found myself feeling frustrated over the tiniest little issues.
It was basically a mini slump.

Dude, this video rocks! You have been killing the slideshows lately. I love waking up and finding these type of videos first thing in the morning. Always sets my day off nicely. Great job once again man.

LOL. Yes. Ninja Popovic is my nickname.
Glad it pumped you up
I think you are right. You got to be your own cheerleader sometimes and have self motivation which I always find very challenging to do. Thanks for the video.
Hey Robert. I agree. I kind of shied away from doing “motivational” videos on my site because I thought it was overdone. The truth is, we all need it daily and from a variety of sources. I am glad this video gave you some fuel
A very creative video once again. Its a great reminder that we still need to stick to the basics. I agree with Ted that this video is first class. Well done

Thanks Stan. I appreciate the continued support.
Hey Justin,
Where did you get the soundtrack? the first part is really cool! How long did it take you to do this and while i’m asking a ton of questions, what software?
Found you through an email of someone I don’t normally read…

Hey Benito,
The audio was royalty free tracks from GarageBand on the Mac.
This post took me about 6-7 hours to complete.
The main software was Keynote to do the slides, Garageband for audio and Screenflow to mix it together and produce the video. Check out my latest post for an ever better example where I mix live video with animation.
