Great video, Justin, I agree.
Sometimes the best thing we can do for our business is to take a step back from it and breathe. I think stressful situations can bring out the worst in us. That’s when it good to remember that it’s not what happens, it’s how we handle it. Customers and Clients might forgive us for being wrong about something, but those same people might find it harder to forgive us for acting like jerks.

Thanks for sharing these great tips, Justin. I find that consciously relaxing and concentrating on my breathing really help me when nothing else seems to.

Oh I wish that I’d seed this just one week ago! I was up for a promotion at work – I work in sales – and my interview was not until FRIDAY. So the entire week as I let myself stress, I totally bombed my sales. I hardly made anything. I did end up getting the promotion in the end – but it’d have been nice if I could have cooled down for the whole week so I could collect on those commissions!

My favorite of the four tips is number two… breathing.
I use this off and on. Probably should practice it more often. Always helps me relax when I do use several deep breathes and consciously focus on slowing down the chatter in my mind and flushing out the toxins pent up inside my body. Thanks for the reminder to get moving again on using the breathing technique.

I have set times every day when I take a few minutes break, close my eyes and remind myself of what I’m working for and what the important things in my life are. I do this whether I’m stressed or not. If you only do certain things when you’re stressed then your mind associates them with stress, which can be kind of counter productive.

When I am under pressure, I tend to workout a lot. I also tend to overwork so as to drain all the thoughts and worries that may result into me being stressed.
