Here’s a quick video I shot to help anyone realize that every problem is also an opportunity. This is a pure fact and a law of our universe. It is up to you to seek out the opportunity in a negative situation and focus your energy and attention on that positive angle.
Check out the video below to see what I mean:
I’m always trying to find the positive. Sometimes it is better hidden than others.
I find that sometimes, I have to step away from a situation and look at it from a different perspective to find the good. A fresh angle can sometimes be enough to flip you to the good side.
Great idea Chris. Stepping away or stepping completely out of a situation entirely is sometimes the perfect cure to the situation. Changing perspective can sometimes be easier said than done but it is ALWAYS possible based on the law of polarity!
Some people see the world in global recession with nothing but closed doors.
Others see a world of change and new opportunities opening up.
Great post, it’s all about how you frame or see things!
Totally! And I think most people “get” this and ultimately agree.
The problem is that it is easy to forget when times are tough. I thought this little example in the video would be a good reminder for people. Thanks for the comment 🙂
Hey Justin, I like this example you’ve shown us here with the book. For every positive there is a negative, and for negative there is a positive. Even though we may be struggling in life with our problems, there is always something better on the other side if we are persistent enough. Speaking of Napoleon Hill, he once said, “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the Seed of an equivalent or a greater Benefit.”
Thanks Hulbert. Glad you liked the example. I love that quote by Napoleon Hill. His work has had a huge impact on my life, as I’m sure it has your as well!
Hi Justin,
Caught your webinar last night, good stuff, thanks.
If you were to carry your point a bit further, and believe, as I do that what you focus on expands. Then focusing on what is “wrong” will bring more of the same.
So it makes a lot of sense to focus on what is “right” about your life, thus bringing more of it into your life.
It also depends on whether you believe that things are good and bad experiences, but that’s another conversation.:)
Since we’re doing Napoleon Hill quotes :
“Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true”.
Napoleon Hill
I read Brad’s post re quotes on twitter, but couldn’t resist. HAAA
Neil
Hey Neil thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the webinar 🙂
I agree with everything you said. What you focus on absolutely expands. Its just a matter of training yourself to focus on what you want versus what you don’t.
Hi Justin
As always thought provoking.
The concept is simplistic but how come through our lives turmoil we tend to forget the basic.
Its quite offten easy to get bogged down with the negative rather than looking for the posative.
I have one way to deal with the negative is to be grateful for what is going is going right in my life.
When I do this it is impossible to feel bad. It doesn’t eliminate your problems but it can get you fiocussing on possible solutions.
