Stop Dreaming Of A Cushy, Relaxing Future

5krun1a.jpgDreaming of a relaxing future without a care in the world?

That almost sounds like a question you’d here in some cheesy commercial for some mutual fund company.

But most of us will nod our heads when we start thinking about it. We strive for the day where all our hard work will pay off and we can finally just chill. Head to the beach and sip margaritas every day just relaxing.

It is the ultimate fantasy and many companies and marketing campaigns play on this somewhat delusional desire.

Here’s the thing.

Even if you happen to have massive success in your career with more money than you could ever spend, you will never reach a point where problems and challenges just disappear.

Nor would you want them to.

We as humans come alive when we are dealing with problems and challenges. Pushing our limits, getting creative and using our minds and bodies to their full potential.

Forgetting this basic truth can actually be the source of a lot of pain.

If your end goal is to relax and not have to deal with challenge, then your daily routine of problem solving, working hard and growing your career or business will feel like one painful moment after another.

Unless you learn to see your work, your challenges and your problems as a source of happiness and fulfillment, you are setting yourself up for disaster.

There will ALWAYS be problems to handle.
There will ALWAYS be new things you must learn.

And as you come to accept this truth, not only will you embrace the hard work and challenge you face, you will come to enjoy it in the future. Seeing each problem that you overcome as another rich life experience that you can use to your advantage in the future.

You will feel the true satisfaction of personal growth and development that only comes to those who understand this truth.
