    Love the opening quote!

Another great video man. I find myself now waiting each Friday morning until they drop.

I think you and I have probably wasted a bit of time complaining via Instant Messenger in the past lol. Now though, your “no-complaint-diet” combined with just being busier/more successful means we spend our time focusing on growth and success – not the relatively small hurdles we (and everyone) face.

Haha yeah its like I said the other day…. I expect you to call me out if I complain over IM. If you catch me, I’m doing pushups… gotta make this new habit stick 😀

Glad you’re looking forward to these!

I don’t have anyone to complain to…so that works for me! But I DO hear ya on the message as I stand in lines and hear others complaining all the time. Maybe I’ll tell them to go on a “complaint diet” next time I hear them. With a smile on my face, of course!

Your message came at the right time. The only problem is how to get it out to my clients!

After the Presidential Election, of course most small business owners are up in arms. Even today, Friday, I can’t stop at a client or call a client without getting corned into a discussion of the impending apocalypse now that Obama has been re-elected to a second term.

For me, the election is over and it’s now out of my hands. There is nothing I can do about it. Complaining won’t help grow my business!

Oops, am I complaining? See how infectious this stuff is?

Hahaha it can be VERY infectious for sure. I think a lot of the election chatter is what sparked me to shoot this video. Like it or not, if you spend hours a day talking about how bad things are going to get… you certainly are NOT doing anything in the moment to set yourself up for success/happiness down the road.

Glad you liked it thanks 🙂

    Hey Justin,

I can complain if I want to dammit! I mean after all if I want to waste a lot of time, feel miserable and get absolutely nothing accomplished nothing like a good old bitch session. The problem is I can’t get anybody to listen to me… Go figure!

But I do have a solution and a surefire cure to complaining. First, you step into a mode of gratitude. Gratitude stops complaining in its tracks like bug spray. Try it out you can’t be in gratitude and complain at the same time… It’s like trying to swallow with your teeth apart (try it)! Leave it to a dentist to figure that one out.

My other method I find effective is the Serenity Prayer….God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. You find that most of things you complain about our out of your control!

Thanks for the weekly inspiration Justin. I haven’t thought about complaining until you brought this subject up.

    With much gratitude,

    Dr. Steve

      Hey Dr. Steve

Glad you’re diggin the weekly vids and thanks for stopping by to comment. The gratitude tip is huge. All it takes is a few seconds of contemplation to realize how much we have to be grateful for… especially when you see other people who have WAY worse things going on in their lives. Provides perspective.

      have a great weekend

This is a fantastic idea Justin, and definitely something I should get onto right away… I’m not a negative person by any means, but now that you mention it, I do see myself wasting unnecessary time and energy mulling over issues that are beyond my control… but without even realizing it.

    Love your enthusiasm mate! Thanks.

      Thanks Brendon great comment.

I totally agree and I was/am the same way. My mind can dwell on things that I either have no control over or things I’m just finding “difficult”…instead of just doing something about it, I was finding myself sitting around feeling dis-empowered…. Useless LOL

      This diet works well

    Great video, Justin!

Sooooo true. We don’t really need outside forces of any kind to defeat us; we do it ourselves with all our negative self talk.

I heard two quotes lately that talk about this concept from very different directions. One might help you only if you’re spiritual, but the other one could help everyone.

Deepak Chopra: “There are only two directions in life: one is toward negativity, the other is toward creativity.”

Joes Osteen: “God’s will won’t take you where His grace won’t keep you.”

    Really good video, Justin.

    Thank you.
