Friday Ignite 13 – Don’t Cheat Yourself

Very often it is easier to avoid challenge than face it head on.

Too often, people want to find the shortcuts to success.

But the truth is that, REAL success and growth comes from facing those challenges head on.

Don’t cheat yourself. Don’t deny yourself the self expansion that comes with struggle and laying it all on the line…

Love the message in this one dude.

I think sometimes not only are people trying to coast through life, they may have general fears or questions about their capabilities. Either way though the only way to get through that type of thinking is by taking action, and ignoring the negative voice in your head. Building some sort of positive momentum is probably the best cure for self confidence issues.

Thanks Cheryl. So glad you appreciated the message and that it was a bit of a wake up call for you. I had a similar wakeup call that inspired me to make a bunch of these recent videos!

Outstanding job! Not only does the message hit home, but it was extremely well formatted and delivered. The background music was just enough to compliment your voice, and the way you transitioned the slides really kept my attention.

    Great video, Justin.

There’s nothing wrong with struggle and hard work when it leads to success. The only thing I would add is that lots of people work like crazy but are either running in place or running off the edge of a cliff…because they don’t stop to evaluate where all their hard work is getting them and what needs to be changed and tweaked along the way.

Ironically, some people are afraid to work while others are afraid to stop working! …It’s that old “balance” principle again. Just sayin’…

    Have a great weekend!

      Hey Diane,

Its a great point. I’m always working on my “work hard” vs. “work smart” balance. Been getting a lot better thanks to authors like Tim Ferriss. But it is a very important point so I’m glad you made it 😀

This is a great video, thank you for sharing it. I think people should stop being so hard on themselves and realise that they are capable to do reach their ambitions and dreams if they are passionate and motivated. I think a lot of people will struggle in being successful, it is definitely not easy but it is worth it.

      Hey Kristy,

You’re right…. it is not easy despite what some people claim. It is a lot of hard work and it is an ongoing challenge… but that is also where all the real passion of life comes from… overcoming those challenges and reaching big goals!
