Friday Ignite 10 – The Enemy Who Blocked My Success

On the road to freedom there was pain… there was failure.

There were people who tried to steal my dream.

There were people who criticized, judged and told me i was making a mistake.

This video tells it all…

Amazing video man, I always find it hard to talk about myself in such a honest way – so I assume it was a bit out of your comfort zone as well. Very inspiring!

    • Justin Popovic October 12, 2012 at 10:49 am #

Haha you nailed it man. Out of my comfort zone but at the same time right within it because I love stretching my limits. I also feel strongly about the message so I just went for it πŸ™‚

This video is great! No stealing my dreams!

Great stuff Justin!! Our thoughts really do shape our actions. Our insecurity stifles action, and ultimately our own beliefs.

What a powerful message to take with us over the weekend, as we ponder if we all did our very best this past week!

    Have a great weekend!

    Excellent video, Justin.

Just like in life, you may have not been as comfortable making this video as you have with others you’ve made, however, you did a great job! Being out of your comfort zone…will most likely provide comfort to others to move out of their’s.

I am blessed to be an integral part of helping others to move away from what is comfortable to the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable, again. And so, the cycle continues. πŸ™‚

    Best wishes,

    • Justin Popovic October 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm #

Thanks Dr. David for your feedback. I’m glad to hear you liked this vid and its interesting to hear you are doing the same thing regarding comfort zone busting. It is truly one of the most important things we can do to improve our lives. Congrats on your success and keep it going!

    Hi Justin,

Often we love to blame people around us, and forget that we create our own blockades in our MIND.

The battleground is the mind and winning this battle requires a big leap from victim mentality to one that believes “Yes I can do it!”

    Thanks for sharing your message.

    HI Justin,

Why are we like this? Each of us has such an abundance of potential, yet we refuse to believe that. Or perhaps we recognize that the potential is there, but fail to act on it. May be we are just selfish?

Thanks to your big kahunas for sharing. ;>

Hey Kate… lol always love your comments.

And I personally think a lot of the problem comes down to our environmental programming. The majority of people around us shy away from their potential so when we want to embrace it… it is out of THEIR comfort zones too.

We have to decide to blast through that and go for what we want

The message in this video is universal. It applies to everyone in all walks of life and regardless of age.

I have a 91 year old mother. Just 2 weeks ago she was learning Spanish using Rosetta Stone on a laptop computer, solving the New York Times crossword puzzles, going for walks, and calling me daily to argue with me about the Presidential Election.

She has had no change in her health. But doctors and other family members talk too much and say the wrong things. Now her inner voice has taken over and is telling her it’s time to move on. My sister has now enrolled her in Hospice care, not because mom needs it but because everyone has convinced her she does.

When you combine the negative outside forces (the topic of last weeks Friday Ignite) with the power of the inner voice, the results can be devastating.

But there’s another side to this coin that’s even more powerful. If outside influences feed your brain positive messages (as in these Friday Ignite videos), then your inner voice will follow suit. When the inner voice starts telling you all the things you can do, your brain will kick into overdrive and generate new innovative ideas.

As always, your Friday Ignite hits home. But this week was particularly interesting for another reason. I feel I witnessed first hand a transformation in Justin Popovic, I think you transcended yourself in making this video. You made a quantum leap in your own personal development.

There’s only one problem, there’s no going back.

      Hey Bruce

Wow what a story about your mom. She sounds like she really pushes herself and has reaped a lot of reward from it. Too bad about those negative influences.

As for my videos… thanks for that comment. I feel the same way. I’m always looking to push myself further and doing this vid has actually given me access to a brand new idea that I’m working on that should allow me to make a large spike in my income…. more to follow soon πŸ˜‰

Thanks, as always, for your comments. Great hearing from you

    Hi Justin,

I couldn’t agree, and I am my worst enemy!!! I have the dual joys of mental and physical health issues (no point in doing things by halves) to contend with. It would be so very easy to just say enough and give up. But being of a somewhat stubborn, bloody minded disposition I hate giving in, I hate being beaten, so I refuse to let that happen. I might not be moving forward very quickly (except for when the rower…LOL) but I’m moving forward.

I know that I will succeed, and with that belief and knowledge at some point, I will.

    Have fun πŸ™‚

      Hey Mike

Thanks for your comment and your honesty. I love your attitude and approach of “you wont be beat”. That seems to be the defining characteristic of the most successful people so I’m sure your results are following suit (i.e. your rowing).

      Keep it going!

  13. Diane October 16, 2012 at 1:09 pm #

    Great video, Justin!

I think you gave some people the solution in the video. Making a plan…and then putting your emotions aside and just following the plan. Suspending judgment while taking action.Once you get into it, it’s fun. A whole lot more fun than sitting there hating yourself for not doing anything.

    Thanks, Justin.

    • Justin Popovic October 17, 2012 at 6:56 am #

Thanks Diane. Glad you liked the video. Absolutely…. it is all about just getting into action and moving forward. If you can be your own ally rather than enemy, it gets a lot easier πŸ™‚

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to
be on the net the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they just don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take
a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
